The First Lady who took the thrown for style

The White House over the years has seen many first ladys. Of all of those first ladys with style and grace we also had the poorly dressed. Jackie Kennedy was known for her elegant style in the 60's during the presidency of her husband JFK. However for nearly 20 years following JFK's death the White House first ladys lacked the glamour they once had. It wasn't until Nancy Reagan entered the White House as first lady in 1981 that White House style had finally retaken its thrown. Nancy was known for wearing the color red which is now known as Reagan Red, commonly worn by political women in the media. Nancy will always be known as a style icon in our eyes, thank you for bringing such elegance and charm to the White House for 8 years, and to our eyes ever since. We will miss you.
